Building homes?
Does anyone know an estimate of having a house built that is 2800 ft sqared? We would like to have 4 bedrooms on main floor, a small office, a dining room, living room, and kitchen (all 3 open), a bathroom and a half bath in master bedroom. A full finished basement with a small kitchen, furnace room, laundry room, storage room, bathroom, and small bedroom. All the rest is open. Any estimates would be great. Want to get some opinions before we go to a contractor.

A full finished basement with a small kitchen, furnace room, laundry room, storage room, bathroom, and small bedroom. All the rest is open. Any estimates would be great. Want to get some opinions before we go to a contractor.

Will this add value to our house?
Okay, here is our scenario. We won't be able to afford to move to a larger home until the summer of 2010 or later due to financial reasons. Our home is around 860 square feet. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home. Our bedroom isn't very big. We have a queen bed, with one dresser, the closet is mine and my husband uses the spare closet and his dresser is in the spare room as well.
Our laundry room is larger than both bedrooms combined. We were thinking about converting the laundry room (it is just off the kitchen) to our bedroom. We have an attached one car garage (it is a larger garage and the door from the garage goes to the laundry room). We would take the section that attaches to the current laundry room and turn that into our laundry room/storage room. We would still be able to keep our garage and have this extra room.
We want to sell our house in a year, maybe two years, but we are getting crowded in this house and thought this might be a good idea to have some extra space and we were wondering if this would add value to our home??? It would go from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom so I think it would, but I'm not an expert. Any ideas on cost??

The wall the plumbing will go to is right next to it. We would completely finish the "new laundry room" by putting flooring, heat, walls, and a false ceiling in the section in the garage. My husband would do this all himself, he has experience with this type of work. We would just need to hire the plumber to move the plumbing. If we finished a section in the garage, wouldn't it add to the total square footage of the house?
I liked your comment! I know who would build a laundry room bigger than the 2 bedrooms?? Good question!!! The hard part is that our washer and dryer are on completely separate walls, there is a huge closet in our laundry room so that is a bonus for us! :P
Thanks for the advice. My husband and his dad converted an old farm building into a bar/den at his parents farm. They are pretty good at what they do. I'm located in North Dakota and yes, you would only be able to access the laundry room from the master bedroom. I guess we could put a door from the garage to the laundry room, but I'm not sure about that.

Men's locker room in high school?
Okay, so after football practice today I was changing in the men's locker room(the boys and girls locker rooms are connected by a laundry room/ storage for footballs etc.) I took off my boxers because I was changing my underwear to. And the door to the girls locker room opens and I don't notice till I turn around and I see maybe half of the girl volleyball team some naked and some in underwear and topless. As soon as I looked one of the players saw me naked and slammed the door and I could hear them all laughing and talking...I know it sounds odd or maybe fake but I'm telling you it is not...how do I explain to them that I only saw them for like 5 seconds, I also know them and are pretty good friends with them and don't want to lose that.
